Hello there everyone,

Today I decided to make a Kpop review about JYP's 1st-Ever Boy Band DAY6 , so as you guys already know Day6 is a south Korean boyband formed by JYP entertainment. It’s kind of new because most of the artists formed by JYP entertainment are boygroups or girlgroups with their dance routine and choreography but Day6 are the first male idol group with a band concept/ They kind of reminds me of CNBLUE but their music have a different kind of vibe to it.

I’m new to this group , like I just started to find out more about them today , because I can’t get them out of my head seriously. Day6 consist of 6 members ,that explained the “6” in their group name. The group consists of six members: Sungjin, Jae, Young K, Junhyeok, Wonpil, and Dowoon. Before I talk about each members and their profile, I did some researched a bit about Day6 and it turned out that Day6 was originally called 5Live the members consist of member Sungjin, Jaehyung, Young K, Junhyeok, and Wonpil, Dowoon was added to the group to form DAY6. 

#1  and I just realized that 5Live made an appearance in Mnet's reality-survival program Who is Next: WIN episode 4, sadly I just watched win on the last episode because it’s nerve wracking to watch the whole program , but if I have time I’m going to check them out . but I searched them on ep 4 and I found this cut scene of 5live 

 I regret not knowing them sooner ugh, they have amazing vocal skills and their music are really refreshing , it’s hard to find one these days because most of the groups whom are debuting or making a comeback with an upbeat song this summer,not that I don’t like it , don’t get me wrong, I do like it but I  just need this kind of rock Ballad ish music and Day6 debut song are just perfect . 

#2 And they also released an ost for pretty man called "Lovely Girl”. 

#3 Moving on to Day6  Members

So the first one is Jae a.k.a Park Jaehyung, he’s the one who wears glasses in “congratulation” mv and he plays the guitar.

 

The next one is Sungjin a.k.a Park Sungjin, he’s the leader and also the main vocal and he also plays the guitar.

The 3^rd member is Brian a.k.a Kang Young Hyun or YoungK, he’s the rapper and he plays the base. 

The 4^th member is Junhyeok a.k.a im Junhyeok , he plays the keyboard and also the main vocal.

 

The 5^th member is Wonpil a.k.a Kim Wonpil . he plays the keyboard also.

The last one is DoWoon a.k.a Yoon DoWoon the maknae of the group and he plays the drum.

#4 So I’m going to talk about their debut music video called “congratulations”

 so the song started off with a slow beat and there’s this guy in the train all alone,and then he came across his old girlfriend with a new boyfriend and then the song takes turn into this beat that matches the chorus “congratulation”  (my favorite part) It’s hard to explain it with words lol. And the music video continues with a series of flashback of the guy and the girl when they’re still in a relationship together and near the end it showed that the girl left the guy and from what I read (the translations of the song) , I think the girl said “she needs time to think about this relationship” so they both are currently on a break but unexpectedly the girl showed up with a new boyfriend , so that explain why the main guy started smiling at the end to the girl because he realized that he’s just the one who’s suffered all this time and the fact that she just don’t care and she looked fine and happy ,from the way she smiles and don’t mind about a single thing like nothing happened , so “congratulation” is basically a song to congratulate the girl that left without an explanation and broke his heart just like that , because it’s amazing how she got over him so quickly and started to date another guy. I love at how a music video tells a lot of stories from it and the lyrics are just on point :” , I kind of teared up a bit.

And I just finished listening to their 1^st mini album , and I love the whole track already , my favorite are congratulations ofc and 버릇이 됐어.

Anyway that’s the end of my reviews for Day6 ,I really anticipate their debut stage on music shows this week. Good Luck Day6.
